Posted On Friday February 16, 2024

Dear Pine Ridge Families;

We hope that many students are looking forward to enjoying the extra day out of school this long weekend.  Whether students are working an extra shift, hanging out with friends, getting their homework done and notes organized, or spending time with family, we hope that the extra day gives them what they need for success.

Math Extra Help:

Math 4U is a space where students can get math help to catch up on assignments, practice Math Contest questions, help other students with their math, etc. all in one place.  Senior students who would like to help out grade 9 or grade 10 students and get community hours are also invited to Math 4 U and students in any grade who need math help in their courses.  Some students who are interested in writing Math Contests or doing some enrichment math are also welcome.  There will be weekly announcements with reminders and any details as needed throughout the semester.

Uber Eats/Skip the Dishes:

Food deliveries are not permitted during the school day.  This often causes disruption to the school as deliveries do not always happen in a timely fashion.  Please do not order skip the dishes or uber eats for your child during the school day.  We sincerely thank you for your support with this.

Signing students out of school:

Please note that students are in the care of the school when they are in the building.  If you sign your child out of school, it is expected that they are no longer on school property.  Students should never be signed out to remain at school or on school property to study for another class, go to a school event, etc.  If a student is signed out by you, it is expected that you have now taken responsibility for your child and they have left school property for a parent approved reason.

In addition, if you do not already use the School Messenger App and you have a cell phone, this is the more convenient way to sign your child in and out of class.  If you are not using the App, please use the safe arrival line 1-844-350-2646.
