Pathways to Success

Ontario schools implement and support the Creating Pathways to Success program with goals of:

  • ensure that students develop the knowledge and skills they need to make informed education and career/life choices through the effective application of a four-step inquiry process;
  • provide opportunities for this learning both in and outside the classroom; and
  • engage parents and the broader community in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the program, to support students in their learning.
DDSB Resources

The DDSB has three student transition guides to help students in their progress and planning from Grade 8 through Grade 12.

Choosing My Success (overview)

Choosing My Success (planning the transition from Grade 8 to 9)

Refining My Pathway (planning for Grade 11 and 12)

Designing My Future (planning for post-high school)

My Blueprint

myBlueprint is a comprehensive online education, career/life planning, and digital portfolio tool designed to meet students' learning needs, interests, and aspirations. myBlueprint gives students the opportunity to become an architect of their own future.  As students begin this journey, they should be asking themselves:

  • Who am I?
  • What are my opportunities?
  • Who do I want to become?
  • What is my plan for achieving my goals?
